Job Description:
Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer excited by global travel and work? This role involves working outside of the UK regularly. Normally around 8-weeks in working outside of the UK and then 8-weeks working in Livingston. A global leader in advanced material solutions is looking for a Design Engineer to join their team. Design Engineer - Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems using advanced CAD software.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet operational requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and process optimisation for new projects.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing and assembly processes, ensuring high-quality production.
- Participate in project planning and technical reviews to deliver effective engineering solutions.
Design Engineer - What We’re Looking For
- Must be happy to work outside of the UK regularly and be away from family for long periods.
- Experienced in working independently in Mechanical Design.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- A problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.
