Buyer vacancy - High Wycombe, Hertfordshire *Job Type: Full-time
*Salary: up to £36,000 per annum
We are seeking a proactive andresults-driven Junior Buyer or Buyer to join our team. This role involves supporting our Purchasing Manager to manage our supplier base, driving product development, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our Purchasing function. The ideal candidate will have a background in sourcing and buying, with experience dealing with global third-party supplier base especially suppliers from the Far East.
Day-to-day of the role: * Supplier Management:
*Support Purchasing Manager to manage day-to-day commercial relationships with suppliers.
*Source products, assessing potential suppliers on various criteria including financial stability, product quality, and service levels.
*Negotiate supplier contracts and commercial terms to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
*Process Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with performance metrics.
*Drive cost savings, working capital improvements, and supply chain efficiencies through effective negotiation and procurement strategies.
*Where needed - prepare for and attend supplier meetings, trade shows, and business trips, managing follow-up actions and ensuring timely completion.

* Project Management:
*Work closely with internal teams including product management, technical, commercial, sales, marketing, and inventory control to ensure key milestones are met.

* Internal Stakeholder Support:
*Assist commercial and marketing teams with new business tenders and promotional activities.
*Support the inventory control team in resolving supply chain issues.
*Collaborate with the technical team to resolve product quality issues and achieve acceptable commercial resolutions.
*Work with internal stakeholders to implement action plans to meet KPIs.

Required Skills & Qualifications: *Degree level education.
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sourcing/buying role
*Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
*Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively both in teams and independently.
*Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
Desirable: *Experience with ERP systems.
*Interest in or experience within the health and fitness industry.
