Job Description:
Do you have experience of working with secondary school children as a teaching assistant/LSA or experience of working with children/young adults with challenging behaviour?

We are supporting our client in recruiting a Behaviour Support Officer, this is temp to perm 35.5 hours per week, term time. The Behaviour Support Officer will play a vital role in supporting student behaviour and wellbeing within the school environment. This role combines overseeing the internal isolation room, supporting after-school detentions, conducting behaviour-related investigations and analysing behaviour data to identify patterns and trends to ensure appropriate interventions can be implemented.
Internal Isolation Room:
*Manage the day-to-day operation of the internal isolation room
*Monitor students work completion
Behaviour Support & Mentoring:
*Act as a behaviour lead for students
*Develop Pastoral Support Plans for students.
*Establish positive relationships with students to encourage self-reflection and personal growth.
Behavioural Data Analysis:
*Regularly review and analyse behaviour data to identify trends
*Collaborate with middle and senior leaders to devise and implement strategies
*Report on behaviour trends and provide data-driven recommendations
Reflection Room Support:
*Assist the Reflection Room Manager (when required) in supervising students sent to the reflection room
*Help students understand the impact of their behaviour and encourage a restorative approach.
Supervision and Detention Support:
*Supervise and administer after-school detentions
*Ensure students complete work
*Communicate detention outcomes and discuss behaviour improvement strategies
Behaviour Support Officer Details
*Location: Taunton with car parking
*Hours: 35.5 hours per weeks, Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 16.05pm - 38 weeks term time only
*Salary: £13.05 - £14.13ph depending on experience plus holiday pay
*Grade 13, GBP25,183 - GBP27,269 (FTE), GBP20,160 - GBP21,830 (Actual)
*Type: Temp - Perm
