Job Description:
AMS is the world’s leading provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service partner with NatWest to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of NatWest, we are looking for a IRB Risk Model Validator for a 6 Month Day Rate Contract based inLondon. Please note this is a hybrid working model.
NatWest is a major UK retail bank, providing every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
Purpose of the Role:
Join us as a IRB Risk Model Validator where you will be responsible for the review and validation of assigned credit and Finance models relating to Wholesale, Commercial and Retail portfolios across all business units and legal entities.
What you’ll do:
*Conduct in-depth assessments of model subcomponents and evaluate their suitability for intended use.
*Prioritise and manage tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives.
*Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
*Prepare comprehensive model documentation with analysis and commentary.
*Ensure model risk management aligns with policy, identifying and mitigating risks early.
*Support model governance by managing documentation and updating governance tools.
*Identify, manage, and escalate conduct risks to ensure positive customer outcomes.
*Develop and oversee risk and control frameworks for Franchises and Functions.
*Independently challenge risk and control management within agreed risk appetite.
*Provide expert risk management advice, reporting concerns to senior executives.
The skills you’ll need:
*Experience in developing, reviewing, validating, and implementing analytical credit risk measurement tools
*Basic understanding of Basel requirements and IFRS 9 standards.
*Ability to effectively communicate insights to senior colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
*Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
*Strong working knowledge of SAS or Python.
*Demonstrates behaviours aligned with Critical People Capabilities.
