An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Java Software Engineer to join a highly reputable company whose software products are used by 1000’s of customers across the UK. The role offers a hybrid working structure (two days per week in the office on average) and their modern offices are easily accessible via London and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:
*Serve as a lead member of the Java Development team, mentoring junior members
*Serve as a key contributor in a Java, Spring, AWS, and Microservices environment.
*Lead the redevelopment of existing products while enhancing functionality.
*Collaborate with offshore teams and engage with senior internal stakeholders.
*Adhere to DevOps best practices.
*Ensure compliance with SOLID principles.

Technical Requirements:
*7+ years of software development experience
*Commercial experience with Java, Spring and AWS
*Good commercial understanding of Agile and DevOps
*Full software development life cycle (SDLC) including testing
*Experience with Kubernetes, Docker is preferred
*Previous experience transitioning from.Net to Java is beneficial
