Job Description:
Practice Manager *Location: Swindon (office-based with some travel to clients)
*Job Type: Permanent – Full or Part-Time
Join our client, a highly reputable and owner-managed accountancy firm dedicated to providing exceptional accounting services. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to lead the team and drive business growth.
Day-to-day of the role: *Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and support staff.
*Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
*Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the practice, including workflow management, resource allocation, and process improvement.
*Financial Management: Monitor and manage the financial performance of the practice, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
*Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and laws.
*Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the practice.
*Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Education: Full Accounting Qualification required (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
*Experience: Significant experience within an accounting practice in a client-facing role, including experience in a Senior/managerial role.
*Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
*Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
