Infrastructure Support Engineer, SQL, Azure, Azure AD or Entra ID, Networking, Firewalls, Hybrid
Location: City, London, United Kingdom

Up to £572 per day
Our client, a leading financial service company, is looking to hire an experienced infrastructure Support Engineer to provide operational support for IT infrastructure, ensuring systems and networks run smoothly and efficiently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting their peers within the infrastructure team and Technology team as whole. This role is crucial in ensuring stability and integrity for our clients IT infrastructure.
You will also be required to assist the SQL DBA in their role, including providing support and ongoing assistance to the patching and security team.
Please note: engagement is via umbrella company only.
General responsibilities:
*Provide 3rd line infrastructure and operational support for infrastructure, including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory Connect/Entra ID and security authentication.
*Relevant experience of vulnerability and patch management.
*General Network Management - Configure and support network hardware, software, switches, routers, firewalls etc.
*Ability to advise n preventative measures.
*Documentation: Document IT infrastructure layout and design for future reference and upgrades.
*SQL - a good working knowledge of SQL to assist a SQL DBA
Skills required: -
*In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems
General Networking, CISCO Switches, Routers and SD-WAN is essential
*Firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)
*CISCO Call calling
*SQL: A working knowledge of SQL support
*Security Patching experience
