About the Role
The Deputy Finance Director is a key part of the senior leadership team within a fantastic not-for profit organisation, driving financial strategy, efficiency, and compliance. Working as part of the senior leadership team this position oversees budgeting, reporting, and risk management, ensuring the organisation’s long-term financial health. With a hybrid working model and flexible hours, it offers the perfect balance of autonomy and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities: * Lead the preparation and delivery of financial reports, budgets, and strategic forecasts.
* Be the key contact with the Finance Director
* Develop and implement innovative financial strategies to support the organisation’s goals.
* Ensure strong financial controls and effective risk management processes.
* Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership, driving informed decision-making.
* Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of success and accountability.
* Identify and implement efficiency improvements
* Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards.
* Support long-term financial planning and analysis to position the organisation for future growth.
Skills and Experience: * Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
* Experience in a senior financial management role.
* Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
* Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A results-driven approach with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
