Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum

Company Overview:
Join an established, fast-growing business in Milton Keynes as an Assistant Accountant. Support the Financial Controller in delivering key financial functions and help drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist the Financial Controller in producing monthly management accounts
*Manage invoicing, ensuring alignment with contracts
*Develop and maintain sales reporting
*Handle accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliation
*Assist with payroll, VAT returns, and membership direct debits
*Oversee purchase ledger and supplier BACS payments
*Conduct bank reconciliations and manage credit card transactions
*Assist with the annual external audit and financial analysis
Requirements:
*Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
*Proficient in balance sheet reconciliation and management accounting
*AAT qualified or studying
*Experienced in accounting software (Xero would be advantageous) and Excel
*Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
*Able to work independently and as part of a small team
*Good organisational and time management skills
