Transport Administrator required for a waste management company based in Surrey:
*Annual Salary: £26,000 - £30,000
*Location: Surrey
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Play a crucial role in the efficient management of our waste transportation operations. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to ensuring the smooth operation of transport logistics within the waste management sector.
Day-to-day of the role: *Coordinate and manage daily transport schedules to ensure timely and efficient waste collection and disposal.
*Monitor and track vehicle movements using GPS systems to ensure compliance with schedules and routes.
*Communicate effectively with drivers and other logistics staff to address any issues or changes in the schedule.
*Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and other compliance documentation.
*Assist in route planning and optimization to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
*Handle administrative tasks related to transport, including invoicing, permit applications, and compliance with environmental regulations.
*Provide support in emergency response situations by rearranging resources and schedules as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience in transport administration, logistics, or a similar role.
*Strong organizational and time management skills.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
