Job Description:
Senior Accounts Payable, Global Private Equity
Our client is an independent global infrastructure Private Equity investment manager, focusing on investments in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
The company funds have a proven track record and currently the firm manages over $40 billion in assets under management.
Due to the substantial growth and increasing complexity, a need has arisen for an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the accounts payable processes and support the financial operations.
*Invoice Processing: Efficiently process incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
*Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving any payment issues promptly.
*Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds.
*Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
*Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and records.
*Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls and support the implementation of process improvements.
*Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end closing processes and provide necessary documentation for audits.
*Communication: Collaborate with internal departments and external entities, such as vendors and financial institutions, to resolve accounts payable issues.
*Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in financial process and system projects or initiatives as required
Skills and Experience
*Degree or professional qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred but not essential
*Minimum two to three years’ experience in a hands on accounts payable processing role
*Experience within a similar financial services sector would be desirable but not essential
*Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
*Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
*Strong work ethic with a genuine passion for excellence
