Job Description:
Senior Media Officer6 month FTC (with potential to extend)
Hybrid working and travel required
£37-40k
The role
- Create impactful and accurate content
- Proactively source interesting news stories
- Monitor and report on media coverage
- Liaise with the press team and wider colleagues to create collaborative and impactful stories
- Adhere to best practice media relations processes
- Work effectively to meet tight deadlines
- Lead and advise on content strategy
- Contribute to a media plan promoting the organisation across the UK
- Take a strategic approach to communications planning
- Identify and establish strong stakeholder relationships
- Support media training and briefing for colleagues
The ideal candidate
- Proven media relations/press office experience
- Exceptional communication and networking skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop media plans
- Experience in a busy press environment
- Experience in traditional, digital, and social media communications
- Ability to work efficiently, to deadlines, and to manage your own workload
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent
- Journalism, CIPR, or equivalent
