We are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Leeds area for a Transfer Station Operative (manual labour).
What will you be doing?
*Undertake all tasks in accordance with Veolia Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and Veolia Management System.
*Operate the necessary plant equipment involved in the handling, sorting and transferring of waste.
*Inspect incoming loads to ensure they comply with the relevant paperwork and site permit.
*Ensuring the yard area is kept clean and tidy.
*Marshalling vehicle movement around the site at busy times.
*Assisting the site supervisor in day to day running of site operations.
What are we looking for?
*1 or more licences to include: Loading Shovel and/or 360 Grab (full training can be given but at least one of these licences is ’preferred)
*Waste and shredder experience is desirable.
*Good communication skills.
*Be able to work as part of a team.
