Job Description:
£13.26 per hour | 20 hours/week (x3 positions available)
12-week temporary contract | Shift-based, including weekends/unsociable hours

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Cook in Charge to join a dedicated team delivering catering services in a busy educational setting. If you enjoy working in a kitchen, supervising others, and providing wholesome meals, this could be the perfect opportunity.
? About the Role: You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, including:
* Preparing, cooking, and serving meals according to set menus and portion guidelines
* Ordering supplies and managing stock levels
* Ensuring food hygiene and health & safety standards are met
* Supervising kitchen staff and providing on-the-job training
* Preparing packed lunches for off-site activities
* Maintaining records and completing admin tasks using basic ICT systems
? We’re Looking For: Essential Experience & Skills:
* Previous catering experience, ideally in a similar setting
* Experience supervising or managing staff
* Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety legislation
* Ability to work flexibly and reliably as part of a team
* Basic administrative and ICT skills
Qualifications:
* Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
* NQF Level 2 (e.g. GCSEs 4-9, NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds 7061/7062)
* OR equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience
