MS576 - Multi-Skilled Engineer, Elec Bias (4 on 4 off)

Location: Bromborough, Wirral 

Salary: £ Completive per annum

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a multi-skilled engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out ongoing preventative and emergency maintenance work throughout the sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:
*Responsible for managing and closing out all equipment failures, work orders and PPM jobs.
*Responsible for your own engineering hand back procedures.
*Ensure all work is carried out to specification and that food safety standards are met.
*Ensure that targets are met using the appropriate technical support in the correction, prevention and elimination of problems.
*Chooses the most appropriate method and tools for communication.
*Respond promptly and effectively to ensure quick resolution to any issues to minimize any downtime, quality and efficiency problems.
*Understand and contribute using a range of risk assessment techniques in order to ensure safety of plant, equipment and people.
*Continually strive to reduce costs whilst ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum.
*Be adaptable to any shift pattern that the company deems necessary for the business.
Skills and Qualifications:

*Broad Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Electrical & PLC/Inverter Assets.
*Experience of working on high hazard equipment & competent in undertaking safe isolation/
*Time Served Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical (Essential).
*NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Essential).
*HNC or Equivalent technical certificate (Essential).
*18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Essential).
*Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
*Lean Manufacturing i.e. six sigma
*IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications (Desirable).
*FLT certified (Desirable).
*MEWP certified (Desirable).
