Job Description:
Associate Director Town Planner - Cardiff
We are working with a highly regarded planning consultancy that is looking for an experienced Associate Director Town Planner to join their dynamic and growing team in Cardiff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a variety of planning projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
* Provide strategic advice to clients, guiding them through the planning process and ensuring successful project delivery.
* Oversee a team of planners, offering mentorship, support, and development to junior staff members.
* Work closely with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure planning applications are processed efficiently.
* Contribute to business development efforts, building relationships and identifying new opportunities for growth.
* Ensure compliance with relevant planning policies and regulations.
The Ideal Candidate:
* A Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent.
* A proven track record of success in planning consultancy, with experience managing complex projects across different sectors.
* Strong knowledge of planning legislation and policy, particularly in Wales.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Confident communicator, able to build relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
