Machine Operator
We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our busy machine shop team in Cumbernauld, G67.
As a Machine Operator you will be tasked with:
*Manufacturing parts and components for steel fencing and gates
*Loading material onto machine
*Set up and programming of machines including power press / brake press machine
*Working to clear work instructions and technical diagrams
*Operate a variety of different machine processes
*Programming and set up of machinery
*Use of mechanical handling equipment
*Overseeing process to ensure quality standards maintained
*Working to production targets while maintaining a clear focus on safety and quality
*Unloading material
*Carrying our minor machine maintenance
*Adhering to Health and Safety regulations
*General duties as directed by Line Manager

What you can expect:
*A day shift pattern working Monday to Thursday 6am to 4.30pm - Friday, Saturday & Sunday off every week!
*A pay rate of £12.69 per hour

*Opportunity to progress to a permanent contract
What we’re looking for:
*A solid work history and a can-do, enthusiastic approach to work
*Machine operating experience within an Engineering or Machine Shop environment or transferable skills from another role
*A degree of physical fitness as some manual handling involved in job tasks
