Credit Control Manager
Plymouth | Full-time | Competitive Salary + Benefits
Butler Rose is pleased to be partnering with a thriving organisation undergoing continued expansion and success. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Credit Control Manager to join their head office team based in Plymouth.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the credit control function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Management Accountants, you will play a key role in optimising revenue streams and leading projects centred around process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost-saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: * lead a small team to oversee the full credit control process from end to end
* Lead the recovery of outstanding payments
* Assist with month-end billing and prepare supporting analysis
* Reconcile debtor control accounts and intercompany balances
* Manage bad debt provisions and maximise supplier turnover rebates
* Analyse revenue from all operations
* Handle and challenge credit card chargebacks
* Oversee purchase ledger payments, payment terms, and supplier discounts
* Continuously review and improve internal processes
* Deliver monthly debtor analysis to senior management
* Support month-end routines and year-end audit preparations
* Undertake other ad hoc duties as required
About You: * Proven experience in credit control, ideally within a commercial setting
* Proficient Excel skills
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Capable of working to tight deadlines with precision
* Confidence to challenge and enhance existing processes
