Job title: Regional Maintenance & Compliance Officer
Salary: £24,500 to £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week
Location: Sites across the North East & Cumbria

About the Role
As the Regional Maintenance Officer, you will be at the heart of this charity’s operations, playing a key role in maintaining the buildings and sites across the North East and Cumbria. Reporting to the Facilities & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, responding to repair needs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular maintenance and upkeep jobs across our all our premises.

*Carry out minor emergency repairs
*Perform site legal compliance checks, e.g. emergency light checks, fire alarm tests, legionella
*Liaising with contractors and facilitating specialist contractor works
*Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections and compliance checks.

*Proven experience in diagnosing and carrying out general maintenance repairs
*Familiarity with health and safety compliance in a facilities management setting
*A proactive hands-on approach to site maintenance ensuring a safe and welcoming environment
*Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
*Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities with a customer focussed mindset.
