Job Description:
My client is looking for a highly skilled Pre-Construction Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team in Bromley.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in pricing tenders and shaping the commercial success of projects ranging from small works to multi-million-pound capital schemes across education, healthcare, and civic sectors.
Key Skill & Responsibilities:
*Accurate measurement and take-offs from drawings and specs
*Strong understanding of construction methods, prelims, and sequencing
*Analytical mindset to review subcontractor quotes and assess risk/value
*First principles pricing with clear logic and structure
*Collaborative approach - working with estimators, design teams, and Directors
*Familiar with public sector tendering and pricing models (NRM/SMM7, JCT/NEC)
Requirements:
*A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
*Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry is highly desirable.
*Strong knowledge of cost control practices and methodologies.
*Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
*Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
*Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
*Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
