Commercial Associate Solicitor – South West
A rare opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Solicitor to join a highly respected Legal 200 firm at associate level. Working closely with an experienced Partner, you’ll support a broad client base — from large corporate bodies to SMEs and owner-managed businesses — across a wide range of industry sectors.
The Role
You will be responsible for advising on a wide variety of commercial matters, including:
*Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements such as IT contracts and franchise documentation
*Advising on intellectual property matters, including licensing
*Reviewing, updating, and advising on a range of general commercial contracts
*Supporting clients with risk management, compliance, and commercial strategy
*Contributing to business development and maintaining long-term client relationships
About You
We’re looking for a commercially minded legal professional who thrives in a client-facing role. You will ideally be:
*A qualified solicitor or legal executive with demonstrable experience in commercial law
*Confident in managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
*Skilled in contract drafting and negotiation
*Comfortable building rapport with clients across various sectors
*Proactive in developing business opportunities and client relationships
