Job Description:
CLASS 1 DRIVER
VARIOUS SHIFT PATTERNS AVAILABLE - 24 HOUR COVER PERIOD
PAY RATE: £17.83 PER HOUR
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in CAMBUSLANG, GLASGOW.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Rates of Pay:
* £17.83 per hour (this is a PAYE vacancy, so holiday pay will be accrued separately)
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
*Delivery of goods from warehouse to store and trunking
*Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
*Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
*Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
*Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
*Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
*Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
*Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
*Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving CE vehicles
*No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
*Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
*Must undergo a drug and alcohol test
*Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
*Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
*Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
*Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
* Previous experience in a similar role will be beneficial
Training
*Driving assessment will have to be completed, including theory test
*Following successful assessment, there will be a one-week paid induction, which will take place on day shifts
*Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
