About the Job
Working closely with the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will support day-to-day finance operations while gaining exposure to a wide range of transactional and month-end responsibilities.
Duties will include:
*Supporting month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments and journal postings
*Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounts
*Processing supplier invoices and preparing payment runs
*Maintaining and updating fixed asset registers
*Assisting with VAT returns and supporting audit queries
*Producing financial reports and analysis as required
*Acting as a first point of contact for two Finance Assistants, offering day-to-day support and oversight
*Liaising with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data
About the Successful Applicant
You will have experience working in a finance function, ideally studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA. A confident communicator with strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
