Financial Controller
Southampton
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
This an exciting, newly created role, responsible for undertaking the day-to-day lead in all aspects of the Company’s financial and administrative operations, whilst undertaking analysis to ensure efficient use of financial investment.
Key Responsibilities
*Management of all ledger accounting and the preparation of monthly management accounts and the financial reports to management team and external investors.
*Production of payment reports and the operational management and overseeing of company bank accounts.
*Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns and all subsequent VAT-related matters and reporting.
*Responsible for leading on cashflow projections and treasury management.
*Responsible for managing the ongoing Research and Development project cost tracking working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to align.
*The day-to-day running of annual audit and the production of statutory accounts, with input from the external accountants.
About You
*Full qualification ACA, ACCA or CIMA is highly desirable.
*Industry experience within pharmaceuticals, biotech or life sciences is essential.
*Well-rounded financial control experience within an SME.
*Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to partner and challenge cross-functionally.
