Job Title: Mortgage Advisor (telephone-based)
Salary: £27-28,000 plus very competitive bonus scheme and optional overtime
Location: Rotherham, Mon-Fri in office
Overview:
Our client is an established financial services business operating as a mortgage intermediary, connecting borrowers with lenders rather than lending directly.
Role:
To provide professional, compliant, telephone-based mortgage advice across a range of regulated mortgage products. The advisor will be responsible for progressing inbound mortgage leads through to completion, working in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
*Handle inbound leads from multiple sources (online enquiries, purchased lead lists, and call centre referrals)
*Deliver compliant mortgage advice via telephone in line with MCOB regulations
*Maintain accurate records within the client management system
*Work towards individual sales and compliance targets
*Identify cross-sell opportunities and referrals where appropriate
*Ensure high levels of customer service - performance also measured on Feefo, Trustpilot, etc.
Qualifications/requirements:
*CeMAP qualified (or equivalent)
*Experience providing regulated mortgage advice
*Comfortable in telephone-based, fast-paced environments
*Strong multi-tasking and time management capabilities
*Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
*Target-oriented and resilient, with a desire to move into more complex mortgages
*Good knowledge of mortgage products and advice processes
*Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
*Desirable - Background in high street banking or estate agency mortgage sales, looking to step into more complex broker-based work
*Desirable - Exposure to both regulated and unregulated/bridging mortgage environments
