About the Role

We’re working with a firm who are looking for an experienced Head of Wills and Probate to lead a focused department dealing with Wills, Probate, and Estate Administration. Based in their Manchester office, this is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor who is confident in handling this area of law and wants to take the next step by building and leading their own team.

This role combines fee-earning work with team development, giving you the autonomy to set up and shape a growing department while continuing to deliver high-quality client service.

Key Responsibilities
*Lead and grow the Wills and Probate department
*Manage a caseload including: *Drafting and updating Wills
*Probate and estate administration

*Supervise and support junior staff as the team develops
*Implement efficient systems and processes within the department
*Contribute to business development and maintain strong client relationships
*Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations

About You
*Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE in Wills and Probate
*Confident managing a varied caseload independently from start to finish
*Experience supervising or mentoring others
*Strong client care skills and an organised, proactive approach
*Comfortable taking initiative and building something from the ground up
*STEP qualification (or working towards it) is a plus, but not essential
