Job Description:
This Fund Finance Group (FFG) operates as a Product Office within this Global Bank, delivering tailored lending solutions to asset managers and their funds. Its primary objective is to drive "bundled" business for by complementing traditional lending with off-balance sheet, revenue generating services. The team focuses primarily on Subscription Finance and select Net Asset Value (NAV) lending structures. Prior experience in fund finance, corporate banking, structured finance or credit administration · A financial Graduate with a 2.1 degree and have 2 to 4 years UK Banking or with Fund Finance, Credit Analysis and or Structured transactions experience is essential - CFA studies supported
Team responsibilities range from credit analysis, deal structuring and negotiation with internal and external clients, legal documents review, portfolio monitoring, and the preparation and presentation of credit approvals.
Purpose The role is responsible for a smooth execution of fund finance transactions. The role is responsible for effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate transaction processing and mitigate potential risks, while contributing to overall efficiency and governance of fund finance operations. Key Responsibilities Client Portfolio and Relationship Management · Perform routine portfolio monitoring tasks, including updating investor records, tracking covenant compliance, and reviewing facility fees. · Maintain and update internal databases, management sheets, and investor listings with accurate and timely information. · Identify and flag potential credit risks or discrepancies for review by senior colleagues. · Process facility drawdown requests by verifying borrowing base (BB) and facility limits, preparing standard loan documentation, and coordinating with relevant teams (e.g. agents, customers, colleagues and Loans Administration department.) · Handle client inquiries related to account details, loan terms, and required documentation. · Oversee customer interactions for other team members. Client Onboarding & Compliance · Prepare and organise Know Your Customer (KYC) and compliance documents for new clients. · Collect and verify client information to meet internal and regulatory requirements · Ensure that onboarding documentation is complete and filed correctly in internal systems. Credit & Risk Documentation · Gather and input data for credit assessments and investor analyses as directed. · Assist in drafting credit memos and internal reports by compiling relevant financial and operational information. · Ensure all credit documentation is up to date and accessible to relevant stakeholders. Reporting & Data Management · Generate routine reports on portfolio status, exposure levels, and collateral details for Head Office or other Branch departments regarding the portfolio. · Ensure data accuracy in internal reporting systems and assist in compiling information for management review. Process & Team Support · Follow established procedures for loan administration, compliance checks, and client record-keeping. · Coordinate with internal teams such as Credit, Compliance, and Loans Administration to ensure smooth transaction processing. Fund Finance Policy Development · Provide feedback and insights and contribute to the development and enhancement of fund finance procedures. Learning and Development · Participate in relevant training programs and maintain awareness of Fund Finance industry practices where possible (e.g. attend FF conferences).
Required Skills: ·Demonstrated experience in handling financial transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining accurate record-keeping. · Awareness of risk management policies, including covenant compliance and collateral evaluation. · Basic understanding of specific legislation or regulation relating to fund finance business. · Basic understanding of relevant legal documentation and ability to apply understanding to ensure work is processed in a compliant manner. · Familiarity with KYC, AML and other compliance related processes. · Working understanding of credit risk principles, loan covenants and exposure monitoring. · Ability to identify potential credit risks and escalate as necessary. · Experience in a client-facing role, handling inquiries and supporting onboarding processes. · Experience working with financial data, generating reports and maintaining internal databases. · Ability to interpret financial statements, including balance sheets and cash flow statements. · Familiarity with developing credit analysis and investor assessments. · Working knowledge of financial products, credit risk, and loan documentation. · Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis, tracking and reporting. · Hands-on experience with financial databases or loan monitoring systems. · Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external interactions. · initiatives. Qualifications: · Graduate wih a 2.1 degree in Finance, banking, mathematics or accounting discipline is preferred . · May have Chartered Financial Analyst or similar or wish to work towards CFA qualifications. · 2 to 4 years’ experience in banking with fund finance, credit analysis administration or structured transactions.
