We are looking for an experienced waste and resource management specialist to join our Sustainable Waste Management team. This role requires demonstrable expert knowledge of the waste and resource management sector and experience of developing and delivering resource efficiency and sustainability initiatives into a diverse portfolio of clients. We are in a period of ambitious and rapid growth and to meet client needs we are looking for someone with experience and a passion for working in the resource management, sustainability, and circular economy fields. We provide practical advice on all waste and resource types, including municipal, household, commercial, industrial and hazardous waste. Our specialisms are expanding to meet the challenges associated with sustainability, circular economy and climate impacts, enabling us to provide comprehensive end to end resource management services.
Our client & technical service offerings include: *Waste strategy, options appraisal and plan development
*Service reviews and infrastructure assessments

*Waste logistics assessments
*Public sector waste support (e.g. procurement)
*Private sector waste company support (e.g. bid development)
*Advice to the financial sector (e.g. investment due diligence)
*Supporting construction companies and waste technology providers
The role
Working with support from our experienced and expert team, you will be given the opportunity to lead project management and technical delivery tasks, while supporting business development activities including bid development. You will be confident in the management of technical data and the development of high quality reports and other project related outputs, and will be comfortable and confident in engaging with internal and external clients and stakeholders at all levels, in both written and verbal formats. You will have the opportunity to assist senior members of different disciplines (for example the Process Engineering, ESG and Energy Advisory teams) within SLR in undertaking similar tasks, potentially including site-based work.
The main objectives of the role will be to: *Support the ongoing growth of the Sustainable Waste Management team, identifying and reacting to opportunities identified using both reactive and proactive approaches to existing and new clients and contacts
*Guide clients through service reviews, identifying and presenting service improvement opportunities, best practice and innovation
*Support clients to develop solutions to meet sustainability objectives
*Act as a trusted technical advisor across all aspects of resources and waste management services
*Take a lead role on the design, development, management and presentation of detailed data driven models
*Lead and contribute to the development of high quality and successful proposals, meeting SLR’s strategic and financial objectives, and supporting principles of continuous improvement
*Support and manage projects to ensure client and business objectives are achieved, maintaining budgets and forecasts accurately
*Identify and contribute to internal company cross selling opportunities
*Support colleagues to develop knowledge and skills to widen capabilities
